the following household and beauty products are not as fancy as all of the glamorous, eye catching and pricey health and beauty items you find In the stores but these are, simple everyday, non-toxic products that you can make at home on the cheap and in no time at all and  will leave your skin and home healthy, beautiful, clean and glowing like a halo around the moon in the night.

All purpose cleaner

2 cups warm water

1 tablespoon baking soda

½ cup distilled white vinegar

2 teaspoons lemon juice

Directions:

Add the baking soda to warm water.  Stir to blend and then slowly add the vinegar and lemon juice.  Both of these will mildly react with the baking soda. Pour cleaner into spray bottle for use.

Glass cleaner

2 cups of water (distilled or filtered is best so it doesn’t leave residue)

2 tablespoons vinegar

10 drops essential oil of choice- I use lemon (optional- but it helps cut the vinegar smell)

Directions:

Combine ingredients in a spray bottle and give it a good shake to make sure ingredients are mixed well.

Landry soap

55 ounces box Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda

1 regular small box of Baking Soda

4 ounces Castile or Chemical Free Soap of choice (liquid or bar)

½ gallon or larger container with lid

Directions: 

Pour washing soda & grated soap or liquid soap into container and shake or stir vigorously until well mixed.

Store in a cool, dry place.

½ cup coconut oil

½ cup baking soda

few drops of water as needed for consistency

few drops favorite essential oil (lavender is mine)

Directions:

Place ingredients in bowl. Mix until smoothly blended (should be a firm consistency) Scoop into a small container. For this recipe you will need to use your fingertips for application under the arms.

 body moisturizer

½ cup coconut oil

1 teaspoon olive oil

6 drops essential oil (lavender or oil of choice)

Directions:

Combine the coconut oil, vitamin E or tea tree oil, and lavender in a bowl. Mix with hand blender or manually until the mixture thickens. Place in a container or jar similar to the picture on the left. Store in a cool place for the mixture to firm up. Mixture will melt and firm back up in warm and cool climates.

Rose lip balm

¼ cup Beeswax

¼ cup Rose Petals (fresh or dried)

2 tablespoons Coconut Oil

2 tablespoons Shea Butter

1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

1 teaspoon Olive Oil

Directions:

Melt beeswax and shea butter in a pot on the stove on low.

Add coconut and olive oil, vanilla extract and rose petals. Stir with fork to ensure no lumps.

Pour into empty lip balm containers. These set up SO quickly!

Deep hair conditioner

2 tablespoons coconut oil

1 tablespoon shea butter

1 teaspoon argan oil

a few drops essential oil (good ones for hair are lavender, peppermint, rosemary, geranium and clary sage)

Directions:

Melt coconut oil and shea butter together (a Pyrex measuring cup in a saucepan of hot water works well.)

Let mixture cool until almost solidified then add the argan oil.

Whip together for 3-5 minutes. You'll get a creamy texture that's much easier to apply than melted oil

Comb through clean, dry hair and let sit for 30 minutes.
